  13. quality to commercial products costing ten times the asking price.

  31. OVER VEIW:
  32.  
  33.      This programme is entirely mouse driven, the keyboard 
  34. being used only for entering file and voice names. It works
  35. under GEM and is compatible with both mono and colour monitors. 
  36.      The programme itself consists of two pages, these are
  37. the voice and the performance edit pages.

  40. IN GENERAL:
  41.  
  42.      All functions which operate upon the data for example 
  43. file access, midi channel info and so on are accessed from
  44. the menu bar via drop down menu's.
  45.      All data pertaining to the item on display (either 
  46. performance or the edit voice) is displayed on the one
  47. screen. This it is hoped will aid editing by allowing 
  48. you to see all the perimeters at a  glance.
  49.      To alter a perimeter value simply point the mouse
  50. to the numerical data you wish to change and press the 
  51. left button to decrease its value or the right button to
  52. increase its value. All values roll over from maximum to 
  53. minimum or vice versa.
  54.      The program is fully idiot proof in that you can't
  55. enter a value out of range or for example set fingered
  56. portamento whilst in poly mode.

  59. DX COMPATIBILITY.

  61.      I am afraid that as it stands this program isn't 
  62. compatible with the DX 21, 27, 100 or FB01 as it expects
  63. ACED data from the TX and has no PEG envelope generator,
  64. however it should be easily convertible if their is enough interest 
  65. to warrent it.

  69. A Word on Midi channels.

  71.      The range for midi channels is one to sixteen, setting a
  72. receive channel of 0 (zero) puts the editor in omni mode.

  76. N.B - In the event of a lock - up
  77.  
  78.  Version 2.3 of this program has an escape mode
  79.  
  80.  If the computer is waiting for midi data (voice, bank or performance)
  81.  and none is forth-coming then pressing ESCape will return you to the
  82.  editor. If this does happen check you have the transmit and receive
  83.  channels set correctly, failing that check you have the cables in,
  84.  or in correctly (You would be surprised how often it happens).
